Our pub was created in collaboration with the Irish Pub Company in Dublin, whose craftsmanship has helped shape some of the most authentic Irish pubs around the world. From Dublin, the interior was shipped across the Atlantic and assembled here in Newhall, California.
That is the whole reason Maginn's feels the way it does. At Maginn's Irish Pub, the details matter, and this is the largest detail of them all.
The Irish Pub Company is based in Dublin and builds authentic Irish pubs around the world. Their craftsmen work inside real Irish pub traditions rather than inventing a look.
We went to them because we did not want an approximation. We wanted the real thing, made by the people who make the real thing.
Two Pubs in One Room
Walk through our blue doors and you are moving through two distinct Irish pub traditions.
The Victorian bar. Guests are first welcomed by a beautifully hand-crafted Victorian-style bar, reminiscent of the elegant pubs found in Belfast. This is the grand, ornate side of Irish pub history.
The shop pub
As the space unfolds, it transitions naturally into a traditional shop-style pub, inspired by the cozy establishments that line the streets of rural towns in County Galway. This is the quieter, closer side, the kind of room built for staying a while.

The design pays tribute to the roots of the Maginn and Connelly families. Every element of the space was chosen to reflect the traditions and the warm hospitality that define real Irish pub culture.
Throughout the pub you will find thoughtful touches of old-world charm, from classic Irish décor to the bric-a-brac that gives the space its personality and its sense of history. Those pieces are not generic pub dressing. They are ours.

Why It Was Worth Doing
Shipping a pub interior from Dublin to California is not the practical way to open a bar. It is slower and more expensive than furnishing a room locally and calling it Irish.
We did it because the room is the point. An Irish pub is not a menu with a theme attached. It is a space that makes people sit longer, talk more, and come back. That is not something you can approximate. You either build it properly or you do not.
From the moment you walk through our signature blue doors, our goal is simple: a warm, welcoming place where friends, families, and neighbors can gather, share a meal, enjoy a pint, listen to music, and celebrate together.
Maginn's is meant to be more than a restaurant or a pub. It is a place where stories are told, traditions are honored, and new memories are made. Our hope is that it will serve this community for many generations to come, just as the great pubs of Ireland have done for centuries.
